History

The first manufactured plastic was invented in 1862 and soon became a welcome boon. It was strong, flexible and heat resistant. It served many industries - consumer products, electronics, manufacturing, construction, packaging and more.

You will not believe it, but it was intended to save the planet!

Sten Gustaf Thulin patented the plastic bag in 1965 to replace paper bags which were causing deforestation!

John Wesley Hyatt invented the first hard plastic in 1869 as a substitute for ivory balls in billiards to avoid slaughtering of elephants for their tusks!

Our Story

Plastic is still an indispensable part of the modern world and will continue to be. Its use has grown wider into additional industries - healthcare & medical, automotive, textiles, agriculture, transportation and more.

However, what we've evolved into, is using this as a single use item for convenience, not necessity. Be it packaging (food or otherwise), foodware or cleaning & home care products. Production and disposal of single use plastics is harmful and unnecessary.

Our focus is consumer change in "foodware" by swapping single use items with reusables. Foodware refers to items used for containing, serving or consuming prepared food, this does not include packaging.

We do not need to wait for organizations or legislation to make changes, which are slow and almost always, not enough.

We OURSELVES can make a change!
